Leukhardt Joins Water Pik As New Engineering VP
Alan Leukhardt has accepted the position of Vice President,
Engineering for Water Pik Technologies’ Pool Products and Heating Systems segment
(Laars® and Jandy® Products).
“I am confident that Alan’s cross-functional product development experience, management expertise, technical competence
and leadership skills will provide the foundation for increasing the effectiveness and output from our new product development
process,” said Bob Rasp, Water Pik’s General Manager of Pool Products and Heating Systems. “We are thrilled
to add such a high-caliber individual to our team.”
A graduate of Stanford University, Mr. Leukhardt has spent the majority of his career
with two high-end appliance manufacturers (DACOR and Thermador). These manufacturers
are both known for their premium brand position as a result of their high quality,
innovative product designs and their continual stream of new products. Alan was Vice
President, Engineering of BSH’s Thermador Division for the past five years where
he formed an Advance Gas Development Group to create and apply new gas technologies.
He also was responsible for Thermador’s introduction of their CookSmart® products
with electronic controls and several other innovative, patented products.
